Our Story
Welcome to the wedding of Jess and Connor.
We are counting down until our special day, which some may say has been a long time coming (especially Jess). We have already had quite the journey and we cannot wait to begin our adventure of married life together. We are looking forward to sharing the day and celebrating with you all!
However, if you know us, which we assume by reading this you do, you may also know that we aren’t ones for oversharing or feel the need to bore you with our ‘fairytale of love’. So rather than us writing this section, we thought it best you read about us from some of our nearest and dearest… hopefully they have been kind!

Mummy and Daddy like washing up and having ice cream together.
I would tell people that Mummy and Daddy are kind, that I care for them and I love them.
I’m looking forward to the wedding so that I can dance with Mummy, Daddy and Caleb and because I like wearing pretty dresses.
Mummy and Daddy getting married means we can celebrate and that Mummy will be Jess Docherty not Jess Tweedie - that’s pretty cool I guess!
From Belle…
Jess and Connor met at uni and so started their love story. From hanging out in their flats, to driving back and forth for hours to see each other on weekends, to rocking out over Th-Rice and a number of other questionable artists. Jess and Connor have grown together to not only be best friends, but to be proud home owners (and renovators), loving parents, adored teachers, and the best UK friends an Aussie gappie could ever ask for. Their engagement was a pleasant surprise, and their wedding will be the icing on the cake that is their 10+ year strong love story.
God I love you guys! 💕
From Laura and Lewis...
From scaling mountain faces, losing shoes in bogs, welcoming babies into the squad and a baptism thrown in for good measure, some of our greatest days have been spent with the two of you and we are so honoured to be by your side on one of yours. Some friendships are made to last forever and this is definitely one of them.
I think we speak on behalf of everyone that knows you when we say that you both are truly meant to be and watching you navigate the rollercoaster of life together proves that what you've got is pretty bloody special.
Mr and Mrs Docherty, it's about time! We can't wait to watch you tie the knot...finally!
